This is probably a symptom of the commercialization of every platform. Platforms like Facebook, Instagram and YouTube are all based on ads and sponsored posts. So, some people are genuinely creating content from the heart, and others are creating regular content as part of their online marketing strategy, which could be perceived as written from the heart…or not. I actually think I’m hallucinating because I could swear I read a few Medium articles that had ads inserted right at the top and blended into the articles. Now I am reconsidering as to whether the authors added in those ads themselves because they really are selling something either directly or by affiliate links!
